Centum Learning receives the UK India Skills Forum Award 2010 for the Best Skills project in Rural Community category
Centum Learning has won the UK India Skills Forum Award for the Best Skills project in Rural Community category. This fourth international award, in a short span of one year, is a representation of the commitment of Centum Learning towards transforming India by way of skilling the Indian workforce.
The UK India Skills Forum comprises over 120 UK based organizations involved in skill development, which work closely with FICCI in India. Skills Forum awards Indian Companies who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the skills agenda in India - one of the most important challenges India faces today.
The major initiatives, by Centum Learning, in the skill-building domain include:
- Partnering with Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of Orissa to train over 40,000 representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions across 10 districts of Orissa
- Enhancing employability of Tribal Youth in partnership with DECT, Govt. of Assam
- Providing vocational skills to youth, who are surrendered militants, in the Indo-Bhutan border of Assam, in association with Sashastra Seema Bal
- Empowering over 38,000 rural youth to become entrepreneurs (Rural Sales Distributors) in association with Bharti Airtel
Through its robust model and partnerships, Centum Learning aims to skill India across 11 states, 382 districts and 4000 centres covering 72 % of Indian population – contributing a lion’s share towards making India the Skills Capital of the World.
Centum Learning receives another Global Recognition in the 'Top 16 Training Outsourcing Watch List' 2010 Worldwide
For the second consecutive year, Centum Learning has been selected by Training Industry, Inc. for a global recognition. Training Industry, Inc. is a US based leading community of training and development companies located across the globe.
Just a year after receiving the prestigious 'Top 15 Emerging Leaders in Training Outsourcing' 2009 Worldwide recognition by Training Industry, Inc., Centum Learning has been listed in the 'Top 16 Training Outsourcing Watch List' 2010 Worldwide.
This newly created "Watch List" encapsulates 16 companies from all over the globe that provide superior outsourced learning services. Selection to the "Watch List" is based on the following criteria:
- Articulating the learning strategy with special focus on skills development for enhancing business outcomes
- Achieving the robustness of Learning Solutions architecture

Each company who participates in the selection process undergoes an extensive research, including thorough analysis of their capabilities, experience, and expertise. The end result is a list that acknowledges companies poised to capture share in the training outsourcing marketplace. The 2010 Watch List recognizes companies that have demonstrated innovation and excellence in the training outsourcing space.
The Watch List is aimed at helping corporates, government, and training executives with the selection of a right learning solutions partner. Because of the breadth of services included in any training outsourcing engagement, the companies making it to the "Watch List" are not ranked.
This global recognition reinforces that Centum Learning is set to not just compete but also succeed on the global stage. Each year since 2004, Training Industry, Inc. has assessed the leading companies in the training industry to determine those best suited for world-class learning outsourcing engagements. Last year, Training Industry, Inc. contacted over 500 companies, globally, to assess their expertise in providing learning services besides evaluating the strength of each company’s major clients.
